RACE, MONEY, AND DEMOCRACY. SUNDAY, JANUARY 21, 2:30-430 PM. Annapolis Friends Meeting House, 351 Dubois Rd., Annapolis 21401

Reverend Stephen A. Tillett will lead a panel of thought leaders on race and its implications for democratic governance. Reverend Tillett, who also leads the Anne Arundel Branch of the NAACP, will present his recently published book, Stop Falling for the Okeydoke: How the Lie of "Race" Continues to Undermine Our Country.

Racism is both symptom and cause of deepening skepticism about democracy. Why do these divisions continue to separate us? How do voter suppression efforts target minorities? What roles do unlimited money and voter suppression play in our democracy and how do they affect minorities, workers and most American citizens?
