WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 2014, QUICK RESPONSE RALLY AT McKELDIN SQUARE, Inner Harbor, Baltimore

The Supreme Court decided the case of McCutcheon v. FECand scrapped all aggregate political contribution limits for the ultra-rich. It does for individuals what Citizens United did for corporations. Specifically, those who can afford to do so could directly contribute up to $5.9 million per election cycle to candidates and party committees.

GMOM and Common Cause organized this rally and about 30 people came on a few hours notice.

Maryland, Dist 3, Representative John Sarbanes came and spoke about his Democracy for the People Act, which would establish a system of public finance for federal elections.  Video here.
